Attractive in a mixed border or a mini meadow.

Habitat: Meadows, pastures, road verges, field borders, waste ground,

scrub land and woodland edges

Height: 40-60cm

Position: Full sun-semi-shade 

Soil Preference: Neutral to calcareous

    An excellent nectar plant for a wide range of insects including bees, hoverflies, butterflies and beetles. The resulting seed heads attract goldfinches and other seed feeding birds.

    A caterpillar food plant of the Lime Speck Pug Moth.

     

    Advised to plant in informal groups to encourage recognition and attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.
